For everyone out there asking themselves “Why do we have this nice little break again?” Apparently, this bearded dude called Jesus was killed hanging on a cross on Easter Friday and then came back from the dead on Easter Sunday… Well, I don’t buy it. But thanks for the long weekend break and all those chocolate eggs I guess 🤷 🐣 Or if you are living in Papua New Guinea, enjoy your hidden Easter eggs cigarettes…

• ⏰ Daylight saving time: Well, it’s happening again. They will take away one hour of our precious sleep. Danke, Merkel…

• 🍁 420: Good news for all you pot heads out there. Oregano Weed will be legalized in Germany starting April 1st! Here is a map of all places where you are allowed to smoke in public. Let’s see how long it will take until Snoop Dogg Lion will move to Germany!

🤑 How to get rich or die trying

• 👮SBF get’s 25-years in prison: We are back with cryptos broooo! SBF aka Sam Bankman-Fried gets 25 years in prison for defrauding customers and investors in his failed crypto exchange FTX. Those 25-years is putting him up there on a tied 2nd place on the biggest fraudster list. Only beaten by Bernie Madoff (150 years).

• 📈 Reddit to the moon: IPO at $34, now at $49. What an IPO for a social network full of nerds and with an EBIT of -$70M…

• 🏢 Adam Newman wants to buy (back) WeWork: Imagine this: Starting WeWork (2012) and driving the evaluation to $47B during a $5B SoftBank investment round (2018). Then cashing out $2B at a $25B evaluation roughly a year later. Then leaving the company to finally go bankrupt last year. And now trying to buy it back for $900M. With $15B in assets and $19B in debts. Who else could pull this off?! (CNBC)

• 🐝  Heja BVB: Dortmund beats Bayern 2:0. Making it their first win in Munich in 10 years. An Easter egg I did not expect to find 💪 

• 💊 VizeLeverkusen: Bayer’s run continues. Now standing at 39 undefeated games this season (record). Putting Bayer 13 points ahead with 7 games to go. Quite a welcome change after Bayern’s 11 titles in a row. 🥱 

• 🏎️ Formula boring One: Carlos Sainz won last week’s Australian Grand Prix. Ferrari took home the first double victory since 2023 (Barcelona). Verstappen did not finish for the first time since … surprise… the race in Australia in 2022. Looks like everything is different down under.

• 🏃 Berkley Ultramarathon: Have you heard about the Berkley Ultramarathon? Now you have. Some facts:

  • Distance: 130miles (209KM)

  • Elevation: 60k feet (18.3KM or twice the Mount Everest)

  • Route: not marked, use your compass and a topographic map

  • Start signal: lighting a cigarette

  • Winners: Only 18 in 37 years

• 🧑‍🔬 Andrew Huberman: Quite an article about the fall of the ‘biggest pop neuroscientist’… Let’s just say: Apparently he is not really putting in the scientific work at his lab on a regular basis as he is living 6 hours away. Handling >1 girlfriend at a time probably comes at some costs… One thing I can promise you: I will always write the bad jokes in this newsletter myself. Who is the ‘scientist’ now?! 🔥

• 🎺 The Oscar goes to: Watch the winner of the Best documentary (short subject) of this year’s Oscars. ‘Last Repair Shop’ is a wonderful movie about the city of Angels providing it’s students with free music instruments.

• 🏢 WeWorkCrashed: If you want to know how to drink expensive tequila involve your wife in your business pull of raising billions from Masayoshi Son at SoftBank watch WeCrashed. Great storyline and acting especially by Jared Leto (IMDB 7.3).

• 🦘 UberRent: Check out Valterri Bottas’ ride. You can rent it in Australia. Which one is better: This commercial or his Bottass calendar? 🍑 

• 🎧️ Money does make you happy ruin your life(?): What does the money making rat race at a fast scaling startup really do to you? How do you cope with the pressure? Apparently deep breathing gets you out of it… Well it’s not quite that easy. Interesting listen! My advice: Don’t try to fly too close to the sun Icarus. 🔥
